Stoli – Stolichnaya – is definitely a Russian brand. It’s born from the black soil of Russia, the label features a famous Moscow hotel, and, in the 1970s, it was tasted in a toast on a Russian space station.

So when this Russian brand needed a US headquarters, they partnered with us to blend a bit of American sensibility into their strong heritage.

The word stolitsa means capital in Russian. This inspired strong lines and smooth textures in the design. Architectural plaster, concrete floors, and black painted glass are edgy, yet elegant. Vertical blades provide a striking stage for products on display while reinforcing strength in the design concept.

A red glass desk and oversized bar punctuate the public-facing event space. The limestone in the bar nods to the Moscow hotel on the bottle, where Stoli is certainly served neat. The bar itself nods to the mixologyobsessed American culture, where vodka is never alone. Beyond this multifunctional area, classic red and tasteful furnishings are woven throughout a light, open office space.

Something about the distance this brand has traveled made the design experience feel uniquely like a voyage. The overall effect of the space is a striking reminder of where it started, and an open invitation to join Stoli wherever it’s headed next.
