xAd – New York City Offices
Design Republic has developed the new office space for location-based marketing firm xAd located in New York City.
When xAd wanted everything but ordinary in a new office, we looked to their core values for inspiration: be transparent, be disruptive, be relentless.
Transparency starts with an open floor plan: no offices, glass meeting rooms, and the CEO sharing a bench with this season’s interns. The only solid walls, dividing reception from the open office, are covered in a reflective version of Where’s Waldo (naturally).
Disruption can only happen when there is true collaboration and innovation. Two lounges and a vibrant think tank facilitate open communication, and are designed to challenge the status quo of corporate life.
To stay relentless, the talented team at this always-on, mobile advertising company needed a space infused with rambunctious energy. It radiates from the xAd green incorporated in perforated partitions, wall graphics, and even a live moss installation.
The green also punctuates the entire space in a custom millwork piece alternating between upholstered booths and meeting tables.
Together, the vibrant colors and youthful vibe create a sense of play. And often, that’s what inspires a sense of purpose.
