An open office environment with key breakout and conference rooms designed by Dani Arps. We wanted to strike a balance between designing our space for our agency culture (open environment that inspires collaboration/banter/mutual learning) and the personalities of the people we have on staff (we took stock of the introverts, extroverts, creatives, analytics minds, etc.) and designed so that we can stay focused, productive and engaged.

Aside from small (but key) finishing touches — which included a carefully curated assortment of plants, books, and decorative accents — one of our favorite details in the completed space is a mural by artist Billy Ruiz, who also did the one-of-a-kind paintings on the backs of Dani Lounge chairs. (Somehow, we all landed on a robot theme, which, we’re happy to say, worked beautifully alongside everything else.)

When it comes down to it, who really wants to sit at their desk all day? A stale, same-old work environment lacks energy, which ultimately — unfortunately — affects output. Our designer thought beyond the predictable desk-and-chair, and designate areas that offer employees a variety of settings in which to do their work — and stay focused/inspired.

The plants add life and make people happy. The massive amounts of light in the space also help inspire fresh thinking and make the work during the day stay fresh. Our Sonos that blasts through the office allows us to bond over music (from country to 80’s R&B to boy band days). And our quote walls (including “good vibes only”) set the tone for our vibe. We also had each employee contribute images for our wrap-around pinboard. And finally, the Natura seltzer maker REALLY changed how we hydrate (and who doesn’t love seltzer on tap?!).
