  • Eskema Arquitectos has designed a new office for Arrow Electronics in Mexico City.

The greatest challenge for the new space was working in a 30 year old building with a total clear height of 8’10”. We worked in close collaboration with the engineering team to maintain all the MEP equipment located peripherally, to keep the maximum height possible especially for open and highly occupied areas. The ceiling design and lighting fixtures in the staff areas give some movement to the space, helping it seem even higher. The layout is strategically disposed allowing all occupants to enjoy natural lighting and a great view of the city.

The branding was an important part of the design so it was displayed throughout the office to reassure the company’s values and goals. Bright white tones prevail throughout the office with some subtle blue enclosed spaces framed with carpet accents.

Arrow had been struggling with internal communication due to their previous offices layout, distributed in different floors and in closed reduced spaces, segregating the different departments and teams. Helping them make the transition to a more flexible open office was our main goal, providing the tools for a more productive, healthier and successful working environment. Strategically looking to the future they wanted with new forms of collaboration.
