Mayne Wetherell Offices – Auckland
Creative Spaces has developed the offices of law firm Mayne Wetherell located in Auckland, New Zealand.
Mayne Wetherell, are a specialist law firm, who are recognised market leaders in corporate and finance law. The brief was to create a space that showed comfort and quality without being too formal, a refined residential aesthetic rather than a traditional corporate approach. Having already adopted open plan workspaces to create a non-hierarchical, open and supportive environment, the new focus was to create a flexible workspace for clients and staff to enjoy.
The overall look is timeless and sophisticated, where the environment captures and enhances their culture. The palette integrates polished concrete floors, routed timber paneling, black joinery and hardware with neutral blue-grey tones in soft furnishings and custom designed rugs. As you enter the lobby, an electronic concierge welcomes guests in lieu of a traditional reception. A variety of meeting and quiet spaces with bespoke furnishings surround the sophisticated, highly detailed waiting area. Feature timber paneling on curved façades lead you to the breakout hub, a space where clients and staff interact and enjoy the stunning panoramic views across Auckland harbor. Adjacent to the breakout area, partially glazed walls reveal glimpses of the open plan work space beyond. The flexible work environment encourages learning and sharing of ideas, where juniors can be directly mentored by senior staff. Fixed height shared work benches, or individual sit to stand workdesks are provided for staff. The modular design allows workdesks to be easily repositioned along the central storage spine, enabling flexibility.
