Pacific Sothebys Realty – La Jolla
San Diego Office Design has designed the new offices of realty company Pacific Sotheby’s Realty, located in La Jolla, California.
This former Victoria’s Secret store was completely gutted and replaced with high-end luxury real estate brand Pacific Sotheby’s.
With a unique city requirement to create a front-facing interactive lobby that could be classified as both retail and commercial, getting creative to develop the brand statement appropriate for Sotheby’s and engaging enough to attract both local and tourists was the design team’s challenge.
Just steps to the Pacific ocean and in the middle of one of Southern California’s most luxurious tourist destinations, creating an eye-catching interactive lobby that would appeal to visitors ages 8 to 80 was pivotal for success.
Using an exotic blue glass wall to capture the essence of an ocean wave, the lit glass creates a wave-like effect in both the lobby and conference room area.
Communal work areas in the rear of the office have a coffee-shop vibe and private phone booth rooms offer spaces to tuck into to make a personal call.
