Eligible API Offices – Brooklyn
Dani Arps has designed the new offices of healthcare software company Eligible API, located in Brooklyn, New York City.
Highlights of this space:
-The views and the wide open space. Working in an empty space that requires no demolition—which was the case at Eligible—is a wonderful thing. My biggest challenge was filling the generous expanse without losing the stunning views all around (including some of the water). In the end, we managed to retain a sense of airiness despite the addition of three conference rooms, three private offices, and three more informal meeting rooms.
-Its elegant atmosphere. You don’t always think of a start-up office as a luxe interior with sleek, chic accents, but with its marble-adorned reception area, Scandinavian furnishings, and multitude of custom touches, this office is definitely an exception to a commonly accepted rule. My favorite details: the stadium and window seating; the white oak walls in the conference room; the Andrew Neyer light fixtures in the board room; and the gorgeous Muuto sofa that greets guests upon entering.
-Its bunk beds! The Eligible office houses three nap nooks, where any of its 20 staff members can catch a little mid-afternoon shut-eye—or even just do a little work in a comfy place away from their desks.
