AKQA Casa Offices – São Paulo
Estúdio Penha has designed the new offices of digital agency AKQA, located in São Paulo, Brazil.
Nestled between the bohemian neighborhood of Vila Madalena and the green Alto de Pinheiros, AKQA Casa was designed to be a community-focused workplace that’s open and inviting, and made to feel like a home away from home.
Equipped with sustainable systems including solar panels, rainwater storage for reuse and energy saving LED lighting, AKQA’S office space (named AKQA Casa) uses natural materials like iron, leather, reclaimed or certified wood, stone, marble and fabrics with neutral shades are fused into the interior.
AKQA Casa was designed by architects Estudio Penha in collaboration with Hugo Veiga, Diego Machado and AKQA CEO Ajaz Ahmed.
The concept of the open house to foster collaboration between the AKQA team, clients and São Paulo’s creative community also manifests in the long communal table and professional kitchen, bringing people together over specially prepared meals by local chefs.
