Allsteel Showroom – Atlanta
NELSON designed the showroom of furniture company Allsteel, located in Atlanta, Georgia.
When Allsteel asked NELSON to design their showroom in Atlanta, they sought a space that was reflective of current office design trends while echoing their new brand. Additionally, they required the new office to occupy a smaller footprint that needed to foster a more collaborative environment, and feature a showroom, office area and space to entertain clients.
A raised floor with flexible power whips was included to allow for multiple furniture arrangements where the client’s various products and furnishings could be proudly displayed. The design team collaborated with Allsteel to establish a junction where history and present-day collide through the creation of a new showroom and resource center.
The result highlights the history of the location, combines a client-focused mentality with southern hospitality, draws a connection to the resurgence of the surrounding neighborhood, and incorporates regional tie-ins that are specific to Atlanta, making this showroom truly unique.
The architecture accentuates the tension that occurs where historic meets contemporary, while maximizing flexibility and demonstrating capabilities to showcase the Allsteel product and the workplace efficiencies, teamwork, and innovation that the company embodies.
