  • Dog product company Kurgo has moved into a new dog friendly office, located in Salisbury, Massachusetts.

In 2014, Kurgo co-founders Kitter and Gordie Spater found themselves nose-to-tail in their bustling offices and ready to expand. They decided to build their dream pet-friendly office from the ground up, putting thought and purpose into every square inch.

The structures are recycled steel shipping containers, the same ones that import their products. The finishing was done with wood that was lost in the rivers of Maine in the 1800s and just recently recovered. Their storage is a vintage 1956 Airstream; the seating is the first double chair lift from Sugarbush; and their ceiling canoe (you don’t have one?) belonged to the Spaters’ great grandfather.

Together, these elements do more than make the space feel like home, they remind us of the passion for dogs and adventuring that led to the creation of Kurgo in the first place.
