My Food Bag Offices – Auckland
Yellow 6 Design designed the offices of home delivery food service company My Food Bag, located in Auckland, New Zealand.
My Food Bag is a NZ company that has grown rapidly over the last few years. To aid in their quest to bring good food and families together, we created a new home for the My Food Bag team as they are were originally in separate tenancies.
We wanted to create a space that embodied the My Food Bag brand – a brand that speaks of the colourful organic nature of food, but also keeping it warm and homely. Alongside the project managers from Platform Consulting we undertook the landlord’s base building works which enhanced the overall design outcome.
Polished concrete was retained over both floors and the building structure was expressed by exposing all services. Taking over the ground and third floor, we created a space for 10 custom designed kitchens for their chefs to develop recipes along with a photography kitchen for their shoots. The third floor consists of a central hub for all staff and work areas for the customer support teams to do their thing, all with breakout, collaboration and meeting space around them. The colours through out the areas are inspired by the seasonal menus My Food Bag creates from Spring to Winter, keeping the pallet light and fresh.
