Education Credit Management Corporation – Minneapolis
NELSON designed the offices for nonprofit Education Credit Management Corporation (ECMC) located in Minneapolis, MN.
The ECMC Group, a nonprofit organization with the mission to help students succeed by providing support as a student loan guarantee, wanted a new workplace that would better reflect its brand values and commitment to its employees. Their new space boasts a reduction in overall office count of approximately 75 percent and increased collaboration space types by 30 percent.
A single large employee hub, which seats 200 people, has the best views of the city and is directly adjacent to the 3,500 SF roof top deck. A vertical circulation that connects each floor and promotes impromptu collaboration and wellness. Creating flexibility was also key to the design. This was achieved by utilizing an architectural wall system for all offices, as well as creating a single size universal office and workstation. The result is a contemporary, flexible working environment that provides space in which to grow, with a 30 percent reduction of square footage from their previous space.
