Symmetrics Development Services Pvt Ltd designed the workplace for software company MobileIron working closely with its employees and creating an experience that is unique to them, located in Bangalore, India.
The human experience model suggests that the three priorities to drive experience at a workplace are engagement, empowerment and fulfillment. With this in mind, Symmetrics developed a design for MobileIron office in Bangalore, India after conducting a workplace strategy analysis to recommend a workplace solution that would help them meet their current and future needs. . The workspace adapts to the needs of an individual while embracing the culture of the community as a whole. Let’s take a look at the making of MobileIron’s workspace that integrates people, space and technology.
Employees are welcomed into the space with long corridors accented by saxophone keys created using colored inlays on the carpet. This element of jazz perfectly complements the white furniture placed across the floor, bringing pages of Murakami to life.
Going beyond the conventional boxed-up spaces that restrict the thought process of an engineer, Symmetrics created an open and collaborative space with height-adjustable stations, ad-hoc meeting spaces, formal meeting rooms & work cafes that allow the engineers to extend their work area at will.
To support ad-hoc discussion and quick meet-ups, Symmetrics devised a unique idea that converted aisles into meeting rooms. Using lacquered glass on walls, every corner was converted into a meeting space – with the necessary audio and video facilities. This not only made it easier for people to collaborate, but also stood as a representation of MobileIron’s personality of being innovative and agile in everything they do.
Be it open spaces that encourages cross-functional communication, exposed ceilings that gave the workspace a certain openness, to peripheral glazing that enhanced the use of natural light; MobileIron’s office combines the many elements that are comforting as well as motivating. The vibrant colors and visual templates deployed to support the recreational facilities, clearly communicate how MobileIron values work-life balance as an important ingredient in innovation.
