Deutsche Asset Management, RREEF Property Trust Offices – Chicago

Wright Heerema Architects designed the offices for RREEF Property Trust, the real estate investment affiliate of Deutsche Asset Management, located in Chicago, Illinois.

Wright Heerema Architects designed new office and amenity spaces at 222 South Riverside Plaza in Chicago, Illinois.

Conveniently located above Union Station, 222 South Riverside Plaza is a 40-story, 1,000,000 SF Class A office building. It is located in Chicago’s highly sought-after downtown area and offers unobstructed river and cityscape views of the central Loop. With the potential to attract new tenants, its outdated office space and common areas were in need of a refresh.

WHA designed the plans for a completely renovated plaza and 9,500 SF lobby. The plaza allows plenty of space for foot traffic, socialization among tenants and greenery to enjoy during warm months. The new canopy structure offers a clearly defined and prominent entry experience that compliments the newly painted building well.

Completely repositioned spec suites now offer a flexible, open and collaborative work environment. At nearly 7,000 SF, they feature private offices and conference rooms with full glass walls, and low workstation panels that maximize views and provide an abundance of natural light. Filling the demand for ready-to-occupy space helped improve the property’s value and marketability among potential tenants.

Additional improvements include rehabbed common corridors, elevator modernization with upgraded cab finishes, and a 3,200 SF state-of-the-art lounge. The lounge is a favorite among tenants and is fully equipped with modern amenities including casual seating, TVs, a fireplace, a game room, a golf simulator, and bar.
