As progress continues rise, legal practices look to move locations. At the same time, Swire Properties has legal practices as one of the key groups of potential tenants for its new cluster of buildings in Taikoo Place; The Legal Hub move from Central to Quarry Bay.

BCLP made a decision to move from Central to Quarry Bay. They are the first major law practice with an open-plan office in Hong Kong.

The project starting point was to investigate how to design for an open workplace for lawyers as opposed to the traditional private office culture. Circa ia’s solution what to do a couple of unique workstations with sit-stand motorized desks.

Approximately developed a series of connection rooms with walls that could be folded away; therefore, creating a large social space when needed but multi-functional.

For the design theme, the construction law focus became our inspiration, mixing indoor and outdoor space design. Particular care was taken in the lift lobby.
