Intcomex Offices – San Jose
Viroslav Arquitectos recently completed the design for the offices of Intcomex, a security solutions platform company, located in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Intcomex is a leading platform of value-added solutions and technology products in Latin America and the Caribbean. In their Costa Rican offices, they looked for an expansion area adjacent and connecting to their current offices. The new space is inside 600 square meter warehouse.
The design team studied Intcomex needs and we worked together with them to create a harmonious and efficient working environment and flow. With their forward minded approach to business, they wanted the new space to be multifunctional, playful, with open spaces for work/social gathering and private spaces for large group meetings.
The warehouse has an inherent industrial look, which we took advantage and highlighted the exposed metal structure and the natural concrete floor. Taking advantage of the ceiling height, the HVAC system is also exposed. In contrast, we used a very rich local hard wood, which would become a vital design aspect that runs throughout the space and furniture.
Costa Rica’s natural beauty is a continuous source of inspiration for our team. For this reason, we tried to bring as much natural vegetation as possible. Conceptually, an Urban Jungle.
