HBO Offices – Warsaw

HBO's Warsaw office is a timeless design that balances the features of the existing 10,000 square-foot space while adding bold solutions to complement the brand's strong identity.

Firm
  • Client HBO,
  • size 10,763 sqft
  • Year 2017
  • Location Warsaw, Poland,
  • Industry Film / Media / Publishing,
  • Polish firm, The Design, executed an aesthetic that feels like home for HBO‘s new offices located in Warsaw, Poland.

The conceptual assumptions of the project were broken with the solutions typical for most offices, to give a friendly and warm character to the office space. The investor’s expectations were clearly defined from the beginning: the employees had to feel like home in the new office, and the design and functions would be conducive to creativity and work efficiency. In place of traditional object carpets, wooden oiled floors were used. Instead of standard verticals or blinds, the windows cover the curtains, and the individual characteristic spaces and rooms are separated by stylized loft glass walls. These elements have been combined with modern furniture, lighting and acoustic ceilings.

The specific construction of the office building, on which HBO is located (a large part of the space is illuminated only by a roof skylight) required individual and bold solutions. Thanks to the designed mezzanine and stylized industrial stairs, the previously unused space has turned into a multifunctional and comfortable relaxation zone.

The design is clean and timeless. It integrates technological solutions and security requirements in a consistent manner. The design of a calm and harmonious space was created in contrast to the rich world of TV series and related gadgets, posters and trailers. The space of the office includes details that strongly refer to the HBO super-productions.

The resulting stylized floor decors representing the revisions of the raised floor, colorful neon lights underlining the interior climate and the relaxation zone for employees – a bar. Identification with the brand is modest but expressive enough to complement the office space.
