Netlog Logistics Offices – Istanbul
Udesign Architecture has designed a clean and elegant space for Netlog Logistics, an integrated logistics and transport services provider, located in Istanbul, Turkey.
Netlog is a Turkey based, integrated logistics and transport services provider with operations in three continents. Netlog Logistics is the largest transport company in Turkey, and one of the fastest growing logistics companies in the EMEA region. Their main office is located in Kagithane, Istanbul.
While we were designing Netlog Logistics office that is located in DLP no.01 plaza in Dolapdere İstanbul, we wanted to emphasize the tools that are used in logistics sector. By doing so, an important point was to avoid tiring the employees with the everyday object in their sector, and to do so we tried used the elements in a discreet way Apart from helping the concept, this was also aimed to help the visitors to find their way around the office.
After finalizing zoning plans of the departments and employees, we decided to use glass separations for the manager rooms to preserve the natural light receiving feature of the floor. As a result, it’s managed to use natural light in the whole floor of 1.650m² and have a transparent office space.
At the open workspace, to use the height at maximum, we kept the ceiling open with subconstructional elements open. Some of those subconstructional elements were painted in order to colorize the office and add to color coding elements of the departments in the office. In the kitchen-cafeteria we tried to create a warm area with the use of wood for the employees and guests to enjoy themselves. Flooring was a mix of PVC and various carpet types.
