The Beacon Offices – Antwerp
Once a run-down eyesore of a building is now a revitalized space as home to the Beacon, a business innovation hub designed to foster ingenuity, collaboration and entrepreneurship.
CAPTIF bvba has completed the design for the business and innovation hub, The Beacon, located in Antwerp, Belgium.
For over 10 years, Het Tolhuis was a dilapidated office building standing empty, a true city cancer. In order to revive this building, the city of Antwerp decided to develop The Beacon right here, at the crossroads between the city and the port, with it’s partners UA and imec. The Beacon is to provide a business and innovation hub that offers workspaces to the leading companies in the Internet of Things (IoT). From technologic corporates, to innovative startups and scale-ups. Top researchers will develop here logistic and smart city products and brands. The Beacon will put Antwerp on the world map as Capital of Things.
CAPTIF was awarded the concept & design of this new, ambitious fitout. Meanwhile The Beacon has opened its doors with great success and is described in google reviews as ‘a great place to work’.
