  • Colliers International and REMS & Technical Services have designed their new offices located in Madrid, Spain.

Colliers International’s REMS & Technical Services Division in Spain has carried out Design and Construction Management Services for their new HQ in Madrid. This new office will allow Colliers to house over 100 employees. Colliers currently occupies the 14th floor at Cuzco IV building, with direct access to Paseo de la Castellana, in Madrid’s business district.

The design of the new offices seeks to merge the formal and minimalist corporate image of Colliers International with the local Mediterranean character. For the new offices, it was sought to transmit a first luxury hotel/residential like image in the reception area, since some of Colliers International Spain’s main activities specialize in these sectors. The straight volumes in black and white are given a touch of warmth through a mixture of woods, textures, mirrors, carpet and porcelain tiles.

As you move towards the working areas, decorative elements appear in a sober open space, such as hanging lockers, which have been given a sculptural character by implementing lighting and noble materials.

The different open spaces converge in the main common area: the kitchen. The amplitude and design of this unique space generates a relaxed atmosphere that boosts the relation between all employees.
The design of the kitchen recreates a Mediterranean atmosphere through triangular wooden lattices that incorporate acoustic absorbers with Mediterranean colors, lamps simulating clay vases through their shapes and colors, mosaics on the floor and kitchen front and furniture with wooden finishes.

This design proposal also seeks the implementation of the different work spaces following Workplace strategies. Based on the usual work processes carried out by the different departments, a series of specialized meeting rooms have been created to focus on clients and teams. The meeting rooms have been adapted to specific customer profiles: from formal meeting rooms to a more relaxed meeting room that combines different seating areas, various phonebooths and a more specific meeting room designed to display interior design samples.
