Brattle Group Offices – Boston
CBT has created a new sense of space for consulting services company, the Brattle Group, located in Boston, Massachusetts.
After more than 20 years in Harvard Square, the Brattle Group decided to move their established global headquarters from a unique, compartmentalized building to a downtown high-rise situated in the heart of Boston’s Financial District. Having struggled with the heavily-partitioned and disjointed layout of their existing workspace, the expansive floor plates and unstructured potential of their new space presented an exciting yet challenging opportunity.
Due to these vastly different spatial qualities between their old offices and new, it was vital to understand how the new space could best support this next iteration of the Brattle Group. Though a familiar set-up in many office relocation experiences, employees of the Brattle Group took a notably active role in steering the design of this new space. Through a strong collaborative partnership with CBT, the new space focuses on implementing employee wellness initiatives, incorporating elements such as biophilia, variation in workspaces, and maximized natural lighting. The resulting design introduces a program and space that reflects the company’s culture, supports future growth, and celebrates the views and natural aesthetics of their new location, with particular emphasis on employee wellness and connection to nature.
