Break The Floor Productions Offices – Los Angeles

Kyle Spivey Interiors has used 30 shipping containers to transform an empty warehouse for the design of the Break the Floor Productions offices located in Los Angeles, California.

Kyle Spivey, with Kyle Spivey Designs, was tasked with overseeing the transformation of an empty warehouse into a new 20,000 sqft headquarters for Break The Floor Productions. Break The Floor Productions is one of the world’s preeminent dance entertainment companies. Our team repurposed over 30 shipping containers to accommodate executive offices, creative spaces, conference rooms and lounges. With a broad range of business prospects and a reach of over 300,000+ dancers annually, they are largely responsible for the transformation of dance entertainment. The ultimate goal of this project was creating a space that was fresh, productive, and exciting for the staff – largely made up of 20-somethings. In addition to these areas located within the shipping containers, the space also features a large “outdoor” courtyard complete with live trees and plants, a retail store, and a game room. The space is packed full of unique touches including a 200 Edison bulb chandelier in the lobby, custom made furniture and neon signs throughout, and a fireman’s pole from the second floor. The project took almost a full year to complete and recently wrapped up in early 2017.
