Home Point Financial Offices – Ann Arbor
Hobbs+Black Architects realized the design for Home Point Financial, a mortgage lender whose new offices are located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Looking to establish a new replacement headquarters in the immediate sub-market, mortgage lender Home Point Financial commissioned Hobbs+Black to do an office fit-out of a former Conway Freight Building space in Ann Arbor.
Working with Home Point and Interior Environments, the Hobbs+Black team developed the 30,000-square-foot second floor space for open and enclosed office use. Programming includes 15-20 enclosed offices, IT/storage room, several conference rooms, and work/break rooms.The end result provides a balanced approach to the open office work place supportive of Home Point’s strong corporate culture and fast paced growth. The team worked to create an office design unifying all departments in a dynamic environment that promotes collaboration and attracts talented employees.
Transparent executive offices function dually to promote an open team environment and an outdoor connection to nature. Every employee has access to daylight and views of wildlife improving moral and providing a healthier work environment. Communal spaces and rooms for private conversations interspersed throughout add flexible work spaces for all types of activities. The centralized work cafe serves for impromptu meetings and employee gatherings that create a sense of community. Through simple material changes and pops of color, the design team was able to create impactful elements that emphasized the collaborative environment to improve current and future employee well being.
