The client brief was to create a workplace that their people would genuinely want to spend time in, where they would feel valued and productive.

The key objectives for our client was to ensure that the space was relaxed and welcoming, aspiring and creative. They wanted a design that would speak to staff and visitors of value and quality and to promote a positive work lifestyle.

Brookfield are a leading, global real estate investment company. One of their objectives for this project was to create a space that would appeal to the London property market while also remaining timeless with a lasting quality.

We avoided gimmicks and focused on lasting quality and timeless, contemporary aesthetics. We made some references to the past and firmly connected them into the future. The use of authentic finishes, classic design furniture pieces and a focus on hospitality created an office that their people genuinely want to spend time in, where they feel valued and productive. The building has a unique curved bullnose and to enhance the geometry and create a striking aesthetic we designed a radial timber ceiling that cleverly disguised M&E services along with providing a rich materiality and texture to the working environment. The building, once fully stripped back, revealed concrete columns that were rough and raw, but something we very much liked. Exposing the structure provided a welcome juxtaposition to the surrounding refined, high quality, warm finishes.

The use of materials and finishes not typically associated with office fit-out was essential to our design. This culminated in the selection of high-quality finishes more often associated with residential, retail and most importantly, hospitality environments. The materials are honest and real and provide a quality of depth and warmth.
