  • MA PROJECT was tasked with the multi-functional design for law firm, Pepeliaev Group, located in Moscow, Russia.

Pepeliaev Group is a leading Russian law company providing a full range of legal services in all regions of Russia, CIS countries and abroad. More than 160 lawyers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vladivostok, Beijing and Shanghai provide legal support to more than 1,500 companies engaged in various sectors of the economy, 50% of which are international corporations, carrying out long-term investment projects in Russia.

The main goals were to design an office that meets all the internal needs of a large, developing company; to create an open, comfortable, warm working environment; and to install a presentable multifunctional client zone fitted for different types of work scenarios (negotiations, conferences, seminars, etc.).The office is located in a five-storey building with a century-old history in the center of Moscow.

The total area of the premises is 4287 square meters. First floor is for clients. It includes a reception area, meeting rooms, a multifunctional conference room. The next two floors are office area of mixed structure (working rooms and open space). On the fourth floor there are offices of the managing partner. Through mobile partitions the meeting rooms in the client area are transformed into the area for the seminars.

The main components in the interior design are natural materials with a pronounced texture— slate stone as well as textured veneered panels. A special attention in the client zone is devoted to the creation of a “backstage” light environment with emphasis on antique items — old cash machines. The new rich in textures interior environment contrasts with the open structural elements of the building — the capitals of the columns, open beams floor slabs — and external elements of engineering systems. Landscaping was used to create a comfortable environment in the office space.

Priority was given to sound insulation of office premises. Sound-absorbing materials were used in decoration of the meeting rooms i.e. carpet tiles with felt substrate, suspended ceiling panels with sound-absorbing perforation, textured wall panels.
