Hikvision Offices – Moscow
MAD Architects has created the office design for Hikvision, a security company, located in Moscow, Russia.
In 2018, the Moscow architectural bureau MAD Architects designed and developed the project of the brand new Hikvision Russia headquarter. One of the largest global providers of innovative solutions and security systems has decided to expand company’s staff in Russian Federation. Therefore, the Bureau team heading Mariia Nikolaeva had to create a new workspace at a conceptually new level and to equip office reflecting the credo of Hikvision – sociability, openness, technology. It was possible to do just in three month.
Hikvision is placed on 1 500 sq. meters of Alcon business center on Leningradskiy blv., bld. #72, b. 4. The layout of the office includes a spacious open-space office and many comfortably located conference-rooms for efficient placement of small teams. Workspaces are located along the light silhouettes borders. There are minimum of typical offices, while line-staff and top-management do their work in the common area. In addition, the conception of space organization means using the «Hot desk system» which allows a staff to easily change their workplace, switch to another tasks and activities.
Reception and showroom are additional elements of the philosophy of mobility and technology, which is demonstrated trough open systems and transformable stages. Glass walls make accent on the atmospheres transparency.
One of the most important customer’s requirement to a project is detailed requirement to a vent system. Considering the low air volume due to central system, was decided to increase its level on 150-200 percent. This “know-how” was realized due to introduction of modern engineering equipment and exclude the usage of inefficient fan coils. In addition, it is possible to organize and set separate temperature mode in every space.
Staff access provided by a modern face recognition technology, which excludes the necessity of using keys and its analogues.
Although, that the customer has set very unconventional tasks which was necessary to solve fast, MAD Architects realized every concept and developed modern business space. New headquarter office will assist Hikvision to develop foresight-strategies with many staff involved in it.
The structure of office’s interior reflects the ideas of technology, visionary, globality and dynamic. The space is colored red as basic color in space execution, which is also determined in brand book as a vector.
The interior harmonically finishes with handmade designer’s lamps and inner light design, which resonates with every conceptual idea.
Mariia Nikolaeva, head of MAD Architects, says that it was one of the most difficult and interesting projects in the history of work of company with business interiors. “While creating workspace for Hikvision we developed several conceptual and functional tasks in short time and made an ultimately modern office. The clearly designed geometry helped us to achieve maximum ergonomics, which is especially important for companies in technology sector”.
