Brainly Offices – Krakow
Reflecting a strong sense of start-up culture, Brainly's former loft space has been transformed into a flexible and modular work environment to better suit the needs of the education technology company in Krakow.
Colliers International | Poland has completed the lively offices of education technology company, Brainly, located in Krakow, Poland.
We were asked to help relocate a dynamically growing IT company from a legacy office in an old loft to a modern office building. Despite many inconveniences of the old office space (such as extremely limited number of meeting space and dated unsightly design), the employees were very attached to the start-up character of the space and were reluctant to move. The fact that Brainly experienced extremely dynamic and not fully predictable employment growth posed an additional challenge.
Together with Brainly, we have developed the concept of a flexible and modular office space tailor made for agile teams. Settings that support agile team collaboration such as project tables, scrum walls and a variety of support spaces including focus rooms, meeting pods etc. were located in the immediate adjacency of work areas.
The overall design concept references the company’s roots and is an expression of a highly informal and strongly integrated start-up culture. The reception and welcome area are designed as a lively network café type of settings, catering to needs of both external customers and employees and able to support townhall meetings, events and a variety of informal interactions. The new office was met with great enthusiasm both from employees and management of Brainly and was widely covered in numerous industry publications.
