  • Shirli Zamir Design Studio was given the task of completing the new offices for Krausz-Mueller with a design honoring the company’s work in Rosh Haayin, Israel.

Krausz industries has been designing and manufacturing market leading coupling and repair clamp solutions for water and wastewater applications worldwide.

The visual identity system of the company played a main role in building the design language. We researched many types of clamps; each had its own qualities and attributes. We decided to utilize the clamps in our design in myriad ways. Due to some of the clamps being underground as well as above, we wanted to emphasize a feeling of growth by using natural materials and colors. Just like the clamps repair and mend water and wastewater pipes, they mend and bind our various design elements together.

This concept is presented using the following design assets: a free-standing booth with a wood shelving and storage unit entirely held together with a system of clamps; a clamp-socket light fixture constructed in the same manner with the original company’s clamp. The earthen-hued partitions are a striking contrast to our reoccurring use of blue and cool tones, which is a reference to not only the aforementioned water pipes, but the company’s branding palette as well.

Along with the concept, it was important to find the correct materials that will make this place feel home for the people. And so, we designed salons in several places. The company’s product and their platform are portrayed through the floor plan and to the finest details.

The office plan offers closed offices, informal collaboration areas, formal conference rooms and a kitchen area.
