  • switchup has achieved the office design for job search engine giant, ZipRecruiter, located in Tel Aviv, Israel.

ZipRecruiter is a platform that helps companies and small businesses find great candidates for open positions. Since this is such a modern, ideas-focused, and connective company, Switchup sought to create an office space that fosters connections while infusing the chic and modern feel of the company into the design.

The open, main area of this office build features floor to ceiling windows on an entire wall that take advantage of both the beautiful city views and the natural daytime light. The mixed-use open concept space also features stylish geometric lounge seating, a modern dining area, and a ping pong table which infuses some extra fun into this tech workplace. Small international flags adorn the ceiling, indicating the international point of view of this company.

Adjacent to the open space lounge is the kitchen and dining area featuring natural wood and a large counter space. The kitchen also contains a graphic, geometric backsplash tile that is carried through to the floor. Cafeteria style or boardroom style seating is in close proximity to the kitchen, allowing employees to eat lunch or hold informal meetings. The room also gets an industrial influence with the decision by the designers to leave the overhead ducts and piping exposed.

The main work area sees more of that industrial influence with continued exposed ductwork along the ceiling and unfinished cement flooring. Natural wood desks house multiple work spaces, making this an open concept work space to encourage free flowing ideas and collaboration. Greenery, coupled with the natural wood desks, creates an organic feel in harmonious juxtaposition to the industrial floor and ceiling.

For more private work meetings or employees who wish to work on a project in quiet, bamboo roofs house small tables and booths. These table and booth pods can be used for a number of reasons, but the lower bamboo enclosure creates a more peaceful, cozy, natural feel in dichotomy to the large open work space.
