ZoomCare Offices – Portland
TVA Architects designed the part workshop, part laboratory for ZoomCare, the unique healthcare startup company located in Portland, Oregon.
Having relocated their corporate headquarters from more suburban settings, ZoomCare sought to provide space for their associates that would place the company in the heart of the creative center of downtown Portland. ZoomCare, the innovator of on-demand healthcare, envisioned a “basecamp” that would create workspace for over 300 medical professionals, technologists, and system designers.
An open and transparent environment that allows separate departments to collaborate easily, the new space supports healthcare innovation with a lab for digital and physical prototyping, a kitchen co-working space for impromptu work sessions and all-hands meetings, and open offices. The new Zoom+Care headquarters has no enclosed offices, and only a few enclosed conference rooms that support the mantra to “make more, meet less.”
