N26 Offices – Barcelona
Unispace created the open and transparent workplace of N26 for their offices in Barcelona, Spain.
N26 is a successful start-up business in the fintech industry with its headquarters located in Berlin. With a drive to grow globally and offer international opportunities to a diverse workforce, N26 invested in a new location in Barcelona, looking to create a collaborative and agile workspace for future growth.
Taking over the third and fourth floor in a new complex building in Barcelona’s famous technological and innovation district 22@, N26 wanted a completely new workspace to attract and retain talent.
The client wished to create a diverse space mixing both informal and formal areas with a young and dynamic atmosphere, while still representing their core values of security and safety as a trusted bank.
To bring the space to life, we used a natural base palette with a subtle injection of our client’s colors throughout the open plan area, including meeting rooms alongside the central spine of the building, and a large town hall area showcasing the main central tea point.
Multiple variations of differently themed meeting rooms were incorporated with the purpose of representing all of N26’s offices globally and their banking origins. These themes include money, press, technology, gaming and ‘Kaffeehaus’ areas for focus work and collaboration.
By understanding the brand’s corporate guidelines, we were able to understand their key requirements of transparent and open plan elements. This enabled them to seamlessly combine the traditional office perimeter and allow staff to work collaboratively in an agile environment.
