  • Axis House was given the job of creating a chic and functional space for the Genesis Motor UK offices in Maidenhead, England.

Luxury car manufacturer Genesis Motor UK, a division of Hyundai Motor Group, was created five years ago and has since gained traction in a number of international markets.

Still a relative newcomer to the UK market, the business needed a UK Head Office which reflected its global brand identity and that could be adapted to meet the needs of the growing business.

Axis House carried out a full consultation, design and build programme for Genesis, with the specific purpose of accommodating both full-time and hybrid working patterns. Around 30% of staff worked remotely so a neat hot-desking space was critical. Genesis were delighted with the Axis House design proposals, which they felt both reflected the brand and accentuated key design features, perfectly suited to their requirements.

The final specification reflected the client’s requirements for good access to natural light for all staff, comfortable workspaces with premium quality fixtures and fittings throughout. This included office space, multiple meeting rooms and a kitchen, all of which were designed to create the best user experience and maximise the workspace flow to support the way people used the environment. A comfortable reception area, on-brand design and high-quality acoustic finish all added to the overall look and feel of the space, as well as reflecting the brand’s key corporate messaging.

Working with a specialist consultant Axis House developed an office space equipped with the latest technology, including slick plug-and-play screens to support meetings and make it easy for the UK team to connect with global headquarters in Germany and their partners all around the world.

The 3,500 sq. ft project was completed in 8-weeks, which aligned with the teams’ requirements and received great feedback from senior staff in the UK and overseas.
