  • Spacio created a space for the Rickard Luckin offices with natural divides woven throughout in Chelmsford, England.

Rickard Luckin is a leading firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers with one overarching goal: to help clients realise their potential and achieve their aims.

With a history dating back over two centuries, Rickard Luckin has perfected the skill of providing a personal yet professional service to its clients. With this in mind they needed a space to support their client service but with a focus on agile working for their staff.

Located in the city centre, Rickard Luckin’s new 9,800 sq ft office has envious views overlooking the County Cricket Ground. Upon entering the office, clients are greeted with a beautifully designed client lounge sitting centrally in the space. The lounge is surrounded by an array of different meeting rooms, creating a client focused area for Rickard Luckin and mitigating the need to bring clients in to the main workspace.

With a focus on staff wellbeing Spacio ensured we delivered an array of comfortable break-out areas for their staff to enjoy. The main focus being the spacious kitchen/breakout area. The area was designed with a completely different look and feel to the rest of the office, allowing staff to feel like they had had a true break. With a 7 metre long island unit as the central focal point, surrounded by soft banquette seating and high stools there is plenty of space for the team to come together.

Confidentiality is a key focus for Rickard Luckin, so Spacio needed to create privacy, whilst being mindful of the open plan feel. Therefore we designed and built a number of soundproof booths for staff to take phone calls or attend video conferences. The introduction of the booths have enabled staff to carryout their daily business without disturbing the office or taking up vital meeting room space
