Allegro’s Warsaw office is located in the Plater and Galwan buildings of the Norblin Factory complex and occupies nearly 24,000 sqm (7 floors). The architecture of this place is a unique combination of tradition and the future. Together with the client, we decided to base the style of Allegro’s office on the location and the Norblin Factory facility. Glass, brick and the characteristic structure of the building became the guidelines for building the overall mood of the office space and creating consistency with the context of the surroundings. Allegro’s office was therefore maintained in an industrial style, softened with warm finishes, with respect for the history of the place. At the same time, elegant and modern elements were introduced into the interiors, such as glass walls with muntins, bright colours and natural wood.

Allegro wanted the new office to have as many open, yet flexible spaces as possible to fit the new hybrid work model. Transparency is the key word in this project, so the office is dominated by a large number of double-glazed windows adorned with muntins with a natural finish in the form of veneer panels. They create an impression of space and openness, and if employees wish to separate themselves from the traffic flow, they can use acoustic curtains, for example. The interiors have been divided into zones in such a way as to make maximum use of the available workspace. At the same time, they have been supplemented with a number of social functions with special attention to acoustics, so in many places, we have installed acoustic screens, panels or baffles. All this for the greatest possible comfort of employees.

The entire Allegro office space is conducive to team integration and activity, as well as creativity and well-being. All events and larger meetings can take place in the conference centre. It consists of flexibly designed meeting rooms and two amphitheatres where employees can work while waiting for a meeting. The office also has separate meeting rooms for teams to work ‘ad hoc’, networking areas and informal meetings, which can be divided by mobile walls. Specially designed and developed for this project are ‘jungle room’ zones with lots of diverse vegetation creating a specific microclimate. They are conducive to relaxation and pleasant spending of time during informal meetings. Employees also have at their disposal three uniquely designed outdoor terraces, connected to the relaxation zones.

Allegro’s office meets the highest standards in terms of ecology and sustainability. Natural, top-quality materials from local suppliers have been used in the interiors. We used furniture from the previous location, which was recycled and refurbished, giving it a second life. Proper ergonomics is ensured by flexible workstations, which employees can adjust to their needs. The abundance of daylight entering the interior of the office is supported by installed temperature and lighting intensity control systems, which reduce electricity consumption. Better well-being and efficiency of employees are also supported by a large amount of greenery and specially designed relaxation zones.
