Greystar Offices – Atlanta
HLGstudio incorated both minimal and bold elements in a bright space for the Greystar offices in Atlanta, Georgia.
Greystar, an international rental housing industry leader, worked with HLGstudio to transition their workplace environment to a flexible, free address office workspace within their Atlanta office. The design concept was inspired by the hospitality, multi-family, senior living environment known for the detail unique sense of place that Greystar provides for their residents.
HLGstudio designed an agile work environment with a sizable social hub and a variety of informal meeting areas that give their employees choice of where to work, socialize and collaborate Upon arrival, both employees and guests are greeted by a residential type social hub, giving the boutique hospitality feel
versus a corporate office. Transparency is important to Greystar which influenced the decision to arrange private offices and conference rooms on the interior while the open office environment, social spaces and break out meeting areas were
given access to natural light while creating a visual connection for their employees.Technology became a critical component that ensures the success of an agile environment. Open office workstations were unassigned and had dual monitors with laptop docking stations that included one click connection. Collaboration areas were supported by WiFi shareable monitors, desktop sharing and cameras to enable seamless collaboration.
This project was successful in meeting Greystar’s goals to balance a more flexible, agile environment while creating an authentic sense of place that enhances the employee experience This workspace is a model for future office expansions and renovations nationwide.
