Travelport is a company dedicated to connecting travel buyers and sellers through a unique and independent marketplace. They have a platform that empowers the industry to help people discover the world. They provide simple ways for companies such as airlines, hotels, and car rental companies to connect through personalized content with agencies and travelers. Their mission is to simplify the travel industry, which has been known and loved for decades, despite its complexity. While others add features, Travelport invents new solutions. They are a company that is reinventing a better future for the industry because they are committed to innovation, constant change, movement, and transformation.

The project concept was based on Travelport’s principles: diversity, equity, and inclusion towards their Tribe, exemplifying their commitment to eliminating inequality and unconscious bias, and providing Fire work environments where all employees can confidently share their opinions and feel comfortable challenging the norms. The project is developed on a single level where each space promotes connection among its collaborators. It was important for Travelport to have a timeless and functional design in their new offices, but one that challenged the boundaries of a traditional office. One of the initial requirements was to have a reception area that also functioned as a bar; this area became the great Totem of the project, serving both as a service and entertainment space that offers a warm welcome to any visitor and provides support for the large-scale events they typically host, while still reflecting the youthful and fun spirit that characterizes them.

Finishes played a crucial role in the project. Being an international company, we aimed to maintain certain guidelines while also taking advantage of everything Mexico has to offer in terms of colors, textures, materials, and shapes. Wood, mosaics, carpets, textiles, and custom-made carpentry were combined complementarily to meet specific collaboration needs. Additionally, natural vegetation and photographs taken by Mexican artists were incorporated into each area, allowing them to capture the essence of Travelport in Guadalajara.

All materials chosen for this project evoke a sense of naturalness and simplicity through neutral tones with key color accents in representative spaces that complement the brand’s color palette, plus the use of good lighting, branding, and intuitive and practical technological tools that make each user feel at home. The project’s experience is further enhanced by dedicated areas for play and relaxation in contrast to private spaces that provide users with the concentration and reflection time they need. The result is an elegant, comfortable, dynamic, and versatile project.
