Method Architecture Offices – Houston
Method Architecture designed a creative and colorful space for their team in Houston, Texas.
Method’s new striking design elements greet visitors at the reception with a multi-wall mural from local Houston artist David Maldonado, known for producing nearly twenty public artworks throughout the city. Exposed ceilings with decorative acoustical elements throughout the space painted either pink or blue will add a pop of color, except for in the creative conference room, where the ceiling will be white.
An all-white creative conference is meant to present client materials in a space where they shine. Tintable, white lights will be able to adjust color, creating the light temperature to match each client’s own space. A transparent Method Architecture cut-out logo will adorn one of the walls of the creative conference room so clients can sneak a peek at the magic going on behind the scenes.
Carpet throughout the space was specifically designed for Method, combining three different styles to create a free-flowing pattern that fades from deep gray to white. Color is provided by a large exposed white brick wall at the back of the office featuring a drip paint mural and Method’s multi-colored bike art installation. Plush psychedelic-inspired fabrics in meeting booths and distinctive light fixtures keep the space feeling light and fun to inspire creative design.
With its new location in the heart of one of Houston’s most prime areas, the employees and its clients who visit will get to enjoy enhanced walkability to a vibrant surrounding area and distinct design that sparks creativity. The Method team used this design to showcase how ordinary and industry standard materials can be used in creative ways to create dynamic, engaging people-focused spaces. There will also be plenty of spaces to huddle or work that reflect Method’s intention to foster a workspace where designers and clients alike want to work and play in.
