Duraline Offices – Izmit
Udesign Architecture designed a 1,600 square-meter office space in Izmit using the concept of “Fluidity” which focuses on functionality, well-being, spaciousness, natural materials, and sustainability.
Udesign Architecture designed a 1,600 m2 office space in Kocaeli for Duraline Aluminum, which operates in aluminum and aluminum profile systems in Turkey and around the world.
Drawing on our global expertise in design and execution, we offered the brand a workspace that balances functionality and well-being. Our new design concept ‘Fluidity’ unites the company’s ambition and aspirations to create a transformative workplace that supports people, culture and future growth.
A fluid staircase creates fluid movement from the entry area to the area where workspaces, meeting rooms and the group are hosted via the boardroom. Soft transitions, pastel tones and materials are important in this fluidity.
One of the main goals of the project was to prioritize spaciousness. This meant that closed offices had a significant reduction in window space towards the centre, preventing natural light from being blocked. As a result, an environment in which workstations benefit from maximum daylight has emerged, thanks to the workstations being positioned next to windows.
Wellness has become a highlight of the workspaces, with initiatives supporting holistic wellness and sustainability available on every floor.
Sustainability is at the heart of the design and many natural materials and flora were used to support this. The idea of “flowing with nature” was maintained by creating green spaces and natural light.
Our focus on people’s needs, combined with our sustainable design approach, has created an office environment that is not only an extraordinary place to work, but also fosters a sense of community and belonging.
As a result, our main aim has been to create an office that provides our staff with all the facilities and support they need to succeed on both a professional and personal level.
