DesignStudio Offices – Long Island City
Gala Magriñá Design transformed DesignStudio’s Long Island City headquarters into a dynamic, creative space blending mid-century modern with industrial elements, featuring custom tables and varied workspaces.
International creative agency DesignStudio hired us to design their brand new US headquarters in Long Island City, NY. It was the first time we had a client that was highly creative and the collaboration, thoughtfulness and intention behind each design choice we made was awesome to witness. From variable work spaces that are conducive to zoom meetings and a hybrid work schedule to a casual and laid back all hands meeting space to creating spaces for collaborative brainstorming and single task focused work- we designed spaces for every type of work type and interaction you could want in an office.
The design style we focused on was a mix of mid-century modern meets industrial and modern. We layered in props, plants, art and styled the space so that it feels not too overly done and slightly effortless- where a meeting of creative minds would come to convene, work and play.
Because of the variability of work spaces all tables were custom designed and include a variety of power and data modules.
The space is fun, unique, creative and inspiring.
