  • West Fraser is a Canadian forestry company that produces lumber, LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp, newsprint, and wood chips based in Quesnel BC, Canada. They retained SGH Design Partners to work with their team in the relocation of their Vancouver offices.

The 30,0000 SF office was a post-covid shift to a HYBRID working office environment and relocation to two adjacent floors. This project includes an interconnected stair that runs from floors 15-16.

The planning strategy utilizes a modular approach that allows for maximum flexibility. Interior enclosed rooms with full glass fronts to allow in natural light, can quickly adapt to either an office or meeting room with simple reconfiguration of furniture. All enclosed meeting spaces provide integrated technology to allow a seamless connection with those in the office or dialing in. Social spaces provide areas to collaborate and connect.

West Fraser products and materials are highlighted in the features and architecture to create a powerful connection to brand and tell their story. As they continue to grow and expand globally the design is both casual and Canadian with a future forward aesthetic that reflects their innovative spirit.
