Amazon Nitro is rooted in creating a ‘Center of Energy’ to support and nurture employee growth and development. The spaces help users ‘wake up and calm down,’ fostering a dynamic environment where energy flows freely.

The interior design of Nitro embodies Graphite Design Group’s philosophy, emphasizing both productivity and well-being. Its diverse workspaces cater to various tasks, promoting personal development within the Amazon community. Elements of surprise and delight are intricately woven into the design, creating an environment that inspires and invigorates.

Nitro integrates seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood and outdoor plazas, connecting various Amazon buildings and creating a cohesive community space. The lower levels of Nitro serve as an engaging hub, providing amenities and an alternative workspace environment compared to the floors above. This ‘Center of Energy’ is centered around the grand stair and circulation spaces, enhancing connectivity and fostering a memorable sense of place that employees enthusiastically utilize daily.

The connecting staircase was designed to evoke a spirit of innovation using the dynamic application of rich color and dramatic contrast. The ‘yarn-bombed’ trees activate and promote the use of the stairs while serving as an energetic, immersive, and unexpected experience.

Nitro is more than an office building—it’s a dynamic hub where collaboration, innovation, and community converge, embodying Amazon’s commitment to creating inspiring and purposeful spaces for its workforce.
