Wayzim Offices – Shanghai
YUZO Design created a modern multifunctional office space for Wayzim in Shanghai’s Minhang District, featuring sleek lines, bright interiors, and practical layout with zones for exhibition, meetings, and offices.
YUZO Design designed the branch office for Wayzim in Shanghai which is in the Minhang District of the city. This multifunctional office space integrates an exhibition hall, meeting areas, discussion and office areas, with a total area of approximately 569 square meters. The overall space design is designed with a simple and modern style, with sleek lines and a bright and transparent visual effect.
The space is divided into two main zones: one for external use, featuring exhibition, reception, and meeting spaces, and the other for employee office use. A central area is designated as the meeting zone, surrounded by the lobby, tea bar, leisure area, and corridors that are flexibly arranged around it. This layout maximizes space use while closely connecting various functional spaces, creating a practical and fluid layout.
The display wall and reception desk in the entrance lobby are made of frosted stainless steel, creating a simple and bright image for this technology firm. The leisure area, which unfolds along the curved glass wall adopts an open layout, providing a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for the employees with large glass windows offering excellent natural lighting.
The meeting area consists of two large and two small meeting rooms. Each large room could accommodate 10 people and the small ones 4, responding to the needs of meetings of different scales. The walls of the meeting rooms are covered with wood veneer, bringing a soft and quiet atmosphere to the space. The glass partitions ensure ample natural light entering the meeting rooms, adding brightness and a sense of transparency to the space.
The meeting area effectively separates the public area from the office area, reducing the impact of business reception on office staff. The open office area is spacious and bright, accommodating 24 employees at the same time with an open discussion area and two phone booths. Four individual offices are arranged at the end of the office area, which provides convenience for employees who need to work alone.
The ceiling is designed with two colors, gray and white, combined with the design of light strips to create a visually staggered and rotating effect for the meeting rooms. The corridor walls are made of reflective materials to visually extend the spatial perception.
