  • Trinity Life Sciences’ new inspiring workspace on the 35th floor of The Scalpel makes use of the stunning views by employing a modern design with a focus on wellbeing, collaboration and sustainability.

Trinity Life Sciences needed a workspace that reflected their rapid growth and success, both internationally and within the UK. Their existing office space was uninspiring and did not align with their thriving business image. As the opportunity arose to move into the prestigious 35th floor of The Scalpel in London, Trinity was eager to create an office that not only maximised the stunning panoramic views but also encouraged a welcoming and productive environment for their people, following a prolonged preference amongst the team for working from home.

Trinity needed a design that would breathe new life into their workspace—bright, airy and fresh. With significant attention to detail, they wanted to ensure that every area of the office provided an inspiring atmosphere for their people. Privacy and acoustics were also a priority, with the need for multiple quiet rooms for focused work and well-designed meeting spaces to ensure clear communication without distraction.

The design utilises Trinity Life Sciences’ signature blue palette, incorporating various shades throughout the office. From the walls to the carpets, the use of Trinity blue is subtle and tasteful but leaves no question as to who occupies the space. The bespoke glazing of the boardroom features the Trinity logo and takes the eye immediately as you enter from the lift.

The design centred on framing the iconic London skyline and nowhere is that clearer than in the statement breakout space. Positioned to take full advantage of the floor-to-ceiling windows, this area offers unparalleled, sweeping views of London’s most iconic landmarks, including the Gherkin, the Thames and the Tower of London. This space is more than just a place to relax, it embodies the very essence of Trinity’s values, providing a setting that inspires creativity, collaboration and mental rejuvenation. The office is flooded with natural light, making it a bright and uplifting space where staff can recharge, socialise or simply take a moment. This breakout area serves as both a sanctuary and a showcase, representing the balance between work and wellbeing that is central to Trinity’s culture.

Technology was important for Trinity, particularly for international communication. Every meeting room is equipped with the latest in conferencing technology. The design itself is contemporary and forward-thinking with elements that promote wellbeing, such as biophilic design, a calming colour palette and soft, ambient lighting. Sustainability was also a key consideration, so finishes were carefully selected to align with Trinity’s environmental commitments, as well as the reuse of furniture from their previous space, striking a balance between modernity and eco-consciousness.

The office, with its sweeping views, has become a place for Trinity’s people to enjoy coming to everyday, a place where people are excited to work. The attention to detail, from the branding to the bespoke features, ensures that the office is both a functional workspace and a statement of Trinity Life Sciences’ identity and values.

The breakout space, in particular, has become a favourite among users—a place where they can unwind while feeling connected to the pulse of London below. This area encapsulates the spirit of Trinity Life Sciences, serving as a powerful reminder of their commitment to creating an inspiring and supportive environment for their team.
