DOTMENT Offices – New Cairo City
Adze Designs created the DOTMENT Workplace in New Cairo, blending innovative office design with Activity-Based Workplace principles and a circular geometry theme inspired by the company’s brand identity.
Nestled in the heart of New Cairo, Egypt, the DOTMENT Workplace stands as a testament to innovative office design, seamlessly blending form and function across its 300-square-meter expanse. This cutting-edge workspace, designed by Adze Designs, caters to a team of 35-40 professionals in the internal communication industry, offering a unique environment that reflects the company’s expertise in design and communication.
The design concept revolves around Activity-Based Workplace (ABW) principles, ensuring a flexible and efficient use of space. What sets this office apart is its visual language, which is heavily inspired by DOTMENT’s brand identity. The recurring theme of circular geometry pays homage to the ‘dot’ in DOTMENT, creating a cohesive and visually striking environment throughout the office.
One of the most remarkable features of the DOTMENT Workplace is the double-curved quiet zone, an architectural marvel that provides a tranquil oasis within the bustling office. This innovative space exemplifies the designers’ commitment to creating functional yet aesthetically pleasing work areas.
The layout encompasses various work settings, each thoughtfully named in Arabic to reflect the local culture. These include an open plan area, work lounge, pantry, meeting room, meeting pod, huddle room, isolation booth, virtual meeting room, and one-on-one meeting spaces. This variety of environments supports different work styles and tasks, promoting productivity and collaboration.
Designing for a company of design experts presented a unique challenge, pushing the Adze Designs team to elevate their creativity and attention to detail. The result is a space that meets the high standards of design-savvy clients and enhances their daily work experience.
Inspired by DOTMENT’s brand, the color palette primarily features black and cyan, creating a bold and modern aesthetic. Custom light fixtures add a bespoke touch to the space, emphasizing the attention to detail throughout the project.
Extensive research was conducted prior to the design phase to truly understand DOTMENT’s company culture. The resulting design embodies the core values of agility, dynamism, and hard work, creating an environment that accommodates and inspires the DOTMENT team.
While the DOTMENT Workplace doesn’t incorporate specific sustainability features or integrated technologies, its thoughtful design and layout make it a highly functional and inspiring space for this team of communication experts. The project showcases how understanding a client’s unique needs and industry can result in a tailor-made office that enhances work processes and reflects company identity.
