  • Fisher & Paykel, a leader in respiratory care solutions design and manufacturing, partnered with Hendy to create their new North American headquarters. Situated in a state-of-the-art building in Irvine, this 26,131-square-foot space is designed for openness and collaboration, offering panoramic 360-degree views throughout. Designed as a full-floor layout with no private offices, the space prioritizes openness and transparency, allowing for unobstructed views through floor-to-ceiling windows and a workspace that supports an egalitarian structure. Employees now work in an environment designed to foster teamwork and creativity, with all meeting rooms and collaboration zones centralized to ensure accessibility and a seamless flow.

This office serves as an extension of the company’s New Zealand headquarters, but with a focus on capturing the essence of their brand in every detail. Branded in their colors, the design is bright and inviting, featuring a palette of whites and blues that flow throughout the space—from carpeted workstations to millwork details. With thoughtful accents in natural wood and hints of black on tiles and counters, the aesthetic strikes a balance between warmth and modern elegance. The use of terrazzo counters and complementary shapes, like rounded banquettes, brings in softness to contrast the structural lines of the building.

In addition to aesthetics, the layout enhances the company’s operational goal. With an emphasis on variety and flexibility, the space offers a range of seating options, including huddle rooms with comfortable lounge chairs, drop-in stations and standing tables, to suit different types of meetings and collaborative sessions.

The design isn’t just about creating an attractive office; it’s also about improving the work experience. With enhanced visibility, natural light, and intentional spaces for gathering, the company aims to boost employee satisfaction, encouraging them to enjoy coming into the office each day.
