Walking through Laurentide’s offices is a true expedition in itself, and Metaphore invites you to venture into them.

Metaphore design was commissioned for a second time by Laurentide to renovate their entire ground floor, covering an area of approximately 18,000 square feet, after completing the renovation of the 2nd floor in 2022. The objective was similar to the first phase, namely to design spaces where user experience would be forefront, but pushing the boldness a bit further.

The ground floor has been completely redesigned to continue the architectural layout concept of the 2nd floor, with its central wooden block and secondary black blocks punctuated by vivid wallpapers and clever signage.

A different universe awaits the user in every room. The signage, supported by a continuous thread on the glass walls and traversing the entire project, sketches and reveals the theme in each of them. The whole is treated unpretensiously and with plenty of humor.

The training and collaboration rooms form a harmonious pair. The excursion room takes you on a camel’s back through the desert, acquiring new skills and knowledge. As for the immersion room, it plunges you into an underwater world where creativity and communication are fostered. The Laurentide and Atlantic rooms are illustrated by the mountain and the sea, representing the Canadian landscape and the surpassing of horizons. Next to them, the chlorophyll and vitruvian rooms depict organic suppleness and mathematical precision, two sides of the same coin that make up our beautiful universe.

Gatherings in public square are strongly suggested, however, it is not recommended to take a dip in the swim room, due to the presence of sharks. The acrobat room as well as the illusion room will dazzle you in their own right.

In short, as many universes to discover as there are individuals, the objective being once again to offer a diversity and versatility of space to accommodate different tasks, different users, and different moods throughout the day. One thing is for sure, these universes will not leave you indifferent and will provoke an emotion. It’s up to you now to take your pick.
