  • Client Miebach,
  • size 8,700 sqft
  • Year 2024
  • Location Fishers, Indiana, United States,
  • Industry Consulting / Business Services,
  • Global supply chain solution consultants, Miebach Consulting, recently selected Fishers, Indiana as their new North American headquarters. The Forbes-recognized firm comprised of experts across four continents and twenty-two countries settled into approximately 8,700 square feet at The Link, one of Fishers’ premier Class A office offerings with the help of local team members of global brokerage JLL and local design firm Schott Design.

Desires to remain cohesive with other global locations yet offer a unique design for the Indiana locale, support employee wellness, and reflect the innovative nature of Miebach’s company culture were among the top goals for the new headquarters. Functionally, the space is designed to accommodate Miebach’s needs today and in the future, while establishing connectedness. Benching workstations are provided in the open office along the window line, ensuring daylight access with a nearby wellness room and solo focus rooms to provide places of refuge.

Miebach’s primary break and gathering area is strategically located along the window line. Careful and creative solutions were applied to the millwork and finishes to accentuate the existing architecture while allowing the views to remain unimpeded. The design not only supports the employee’s connection to nature, but the larger context of their work. The room also functions as a catalyst for spontaneous conversations and space for all-staff meetings. The floor plan includes only three private offices, all outfitted with glass fronts to provide transparency and connectedness to leadership. The suite contains a skylit breezeway, a rare amenity within typical tenant suites, that connects the two wings of Miebach’s office, providing a meaningful connection point among employees while serving as a metaphor for the company’s success in remaining interconnected across the globe.

The topographical imagery of the carpet reflects Miebach’s global networks while other carpet within the space recalls the feathered texture of a bird. LVT provides the warmth of a wood texture and a modern take on the herringbone wood flooring utilized Miebach other locations. To balance strong angles and linear elements, soft and rounded forms are incorporated through light fixtures, furniture selections, additions of pillows, decorative curtains, and accent wallcoverings. Meeting spaces are named after Miebach’s office locations abroad with modern typography and imagery incorporated into the bands of privacy film. Anchoring the center of the plan, Miebach’s four core values – Care, Create, Deliver, and Integrity – are implemented on the corners of a pod of meeting rooms. The vertical orientation and incorporation of dimensional letters with back lighting serve as a bold reminder of the driving forces behind the company.

The project team and Miebach have accomplished a spatial experience specifically curated to the needs and desires of their global company, while making a name for themselves within the Fishers community. Through the creation of this space, Miebach has cemented their presence in Indiana and North America, increasing employee wellness and retention while almost guaranteeing growth for the local and state economy.
