StoneX Offices – Singapore
Paperspace Asia and Rehla Design collaborated to create a bright, airy, and visually open office environment for StoneX in Singapore, focusing on transparency, practicality, and effective segmentation for employees and clients.
Founded in 1924, StoneX has evolved over the last century into a global financial services company, achieving rapid growth through over 20 strategic acquisitions in the past decade. These acquisitions have expanded their market access and global presence, enhancing their ability to serve clients worldwide.
StoneX sought Paperspace’s expertise to design a bright and airy office environment that would prioritise the client experience while embodying their culture of transparency and practicality.
The project required effectively segmenting client-facing and employee areas while maintaining transparency. Designing for an expanding headcount meant balancing openness with privacy and addressing acoustic concerns to prevent sound spillage in client areas. Additionally, the new office layout needed to foster a sense of pride and ownership among employees while accommodating a modern, collaborative work environment.
The design focused on a clear segmentation between front-of-house and back-of-house areas. Glass was used as the primary divider to maintain visual openness, aligning with StoneX’s core value of transparency. The back-of-house features an open ceiling, enhancing the sense of space, while the front-of-house incorporates acoustic ceilings and walls to reduce sound spillage, ensuring a comfortable client experience.
Curved geometry and rich material textures were introduced to soften the minimal aesthetic and create a balanced, inviting atmosphere. This design not only fosters collaboration with visual cues but also gives employees a sense of pride and ownership. The layout strategically showcases the office while supporting both practical and collaborative work styles, making the most of the expanded space.
