    Irregularity that Inspires
The Association of Builders and Developers of Málaga (ACP), which represents over 400 companies, has been dedicated since 1974 to advising and defending the interests of construction and development professionals in the province.

MLKT Design proposes a versatile space with a strong identity for the implementation of the new headquarters. A functional and dynamic workspace that encourages the exchange of ideas, welcoming and accessible as a meeting and interaction space for its staff and members, and at the same time elegant and timeless as a representation space.

The irregular shape of the space, influenced by the building in which it is located, becomes the driving force of the project. It accepts the challenge of working with irregular geometry as a generative concept capable of organising the interior space as a “spider web” and responding to different functional needs, resulting in a pleasant and unique user experience.

Starting from an open-plan space with a U-shaped layout, this form is reinforced by creating a functional core in the central part. Service areas, enclosed offices, and meeting rooms are organized within this core, leaving the perimeter for work and training areas that require natural light.

The new ACP Headquarters is designed to be flexible, adapting to various usage needs. Two primary modes of use are prominent: firstly, as a daily workspace for internal staff, and secondly, as a venue for training sessions, activities, and events for both members and the public. Depending on the needs, the design allows for the space to be segmented using sliding systems, optimizing resources.

In terms of materials, the corporate blue colour is prominently featured in key interior areas, alongside a combination of stainless steel, wood, and black cladding, creating a carefully crafted rhythm of vertical lines that convey elegance. This complements the triangular pattern on the floor and ceiling, which echoes the irregular shape of the building to add sophistication and modernity.

The project seeks consistency in its entirety at all levels, integrating lighting design, graphic applications of corporate design, and carefully considering the furniture design like executive desks, reception counter, meeting room tables, conference podium, and the institutional conference room table, ensuring the materials are in balance with the rest of the interior design.
