  • For more than 80 years, the Swiss company Stadler has been building rail vehicles that ensure the safety and comfort of travellers all over the world. So when arranging their office in Warsaw, they focused on these two values. It had to be both employee-friendly and comfortable. The leitmotif was the elements of the brand’s visual identity, which the architects from the BIT CREATIVE studio responsible for the interior concept used, as usual, in an unconventional manner.

960 sq m of impressive space with a unified visual character. This is what the Warsaw headquarters of Stadler, a manufacturer of rail vehicles, located in the Business Garden office complex in Warsaw, looks like. Before it took on its concrete form, however, the architects responsible for the project from the BIT CREATIVE studio had to meet the Investor’s strict expectations, which required the application of many individual solutions.

Contrary to general trends in the arrangement of office space, the Investor focused on the comfort of office work. Hence, instead of typical open spaces, the functional space has been divided into office rooms providing optimum conditions for individual work, while meeting rooms and conference rooms allow for work in teams. The largest conference room is 54 sqm, and the smaller ones range from 12 to 23 sqm.

The company’s business card is, of course, the reception desk – designed in accordance with the brandbook. The central element here is a minimalist reception counter clad in quartz sintering. Effectively backlit, it looks extremely dignified against a blue wall with the company’s logo also backlit. In this part of the office, one can also find an impressively sized map of the entire world with marked locations related to the company’s activities. The room is warmed by the wooden panelling on the wall and the original wooden construction of the ceiling.

In turn, the guiding idea of the conference rooms is the Investor’s flagship products, i.e. trains and trams, including Flirt and Kiss, running in Polish cities. In two of the halls, graphics related to trains appear on the walls, applied to Pet panels. The walls of the corridors have also been decorated in an interesting way with graphics depicting vehicles. These were designed especially for the project needs by the Kolektyf group. These are complemented by related stickers on the glass doors and glazing of the meeting rooms and social areas. The individual rooms are united by the brand’s color scheme of navy blue and white and the use of natural materials such as wood, stone and concrete.

The office space also includes two coffee points and a spacious canteen where employees can dine. The latter, located in the center of the office, has been designed in an intense navy blue colour. Two walls of the room are lined with lacquered fins and two with a drawing of the sky printed on PET plates. This not only preserves the coherence of the interior design concept, but also builds a sense of comfort and serenity, so important in modern offices.
